What to do......

Well, I was off school Friday with Caitlyn as she had a very high temp and sore throat.  So, off to the drs we went and were told, red tonsils, not tonsilitis, but here's a script anyway.  Of course, the next morning (after a long night of high temps and tears) puss had appeared and off I went to fill the script!

So we've spent Fri, Sat and today at home.  Feeling a little bored after cleaning and cooking, the girls and I did some scrapping and cardmaking.  I have a wonderful helper from work finishing Tuesday and our special needs teacher leaves Friday, so I decided to make them a thanks card each.  Here they are....

Today we've cooked (again!) and visited my parents to print some work stuff.  So now, I blog and I suppose get ready for work tomorrow.  Bring on the end of the week!!!

Monday: Planning 1/2 day
Tuesday: Gold/Silver parade
Wednesday: Sports day
Thursday: Excursion with Caitlyn to planetarium
Friday: BREAK UP DAY!!!

Bring on the rest of this week!  I can't wait for the hols and even when they end....4 days a week!!!!!!
Have a great last week all and I can't wait to catch up over the holidays!! xxx

What I've been up to....

Well, the last few weeks have been fairly ordinary for me.  Under 8s week last week was EXHAUSTING!  We went to the Early Years Centre on Tuesday, then had Under 8s at school on Wednesday.  By Friday, I was VERY ready for the weekend.

This week has been fairly uneventful, except that I completed my transfer form and Julieanne approved it!  I put down Lawnton, Kurwongbah, Petrie, Undurba and Burpengary Meadows.  So I guess it's just a case of fingers crossed and getting back to normal for a while.

I'm definately on count down now to

1.  ECLIPSE!!  Can't wait!  I keep hearing interviews with Kristen and Taylor and get excited!  It's just like being a teenager all over again (even though it doesn't seem that long ago that I was one!).

and
2.  4 days a week!!  As at July I will be working 4 days a week until Christmas!  Hooray!

and
3.  Esk!!  Off for a relaxing weekend in Esk with lots of winter gear and crafting to do....

Sorry to be so boring guys, but until Eclipse, 4 days a week and Esk happen, I'm pretty sure that won't change!

Catch you all later!

To move, or not to move...

Hi everyone.  Well I've spent a fair amount of my weekend thinking about transfers.  I have started to fill out my transfer at school (as you can't do it online, it has to be through the school intranet stuff).

My main motivation is to save in school care fees!   I sat down Sat night and worked out that I'm paying close to $800 a month!! AHHH!  I thought it was less...  So I want to take the girls to school with me.  Another reason is definately the distance and wear and tear on my car. 50kms a day is wearing it out (I realise that some people travel heaps further than me!!)!  Finally, I think after about 7 years at Cab East it's time for a change!

So then of course the question is, where to?  I thought about Lawnton (has a good name now I'd say mostly thanks to Tracy)!  Thought about Kurwongbah (where the girls are already).  Thought also about Undurba, Petrie, Dayboro....  hmmm... anyone have any thoughts about all of this?  I would love some other people's input.

Then of course, I think, do I stay at Cab East, on prep and perhaps work 4 days a week like I will be soon.  I know the school, the staff, I LOVE prep and there is a big change coming with the new round of funding.

Hmm...guess I'll just have to wait and see.  Am seeing the staffing officer Thursday.  It's such a big thing!  Can't believe how nervous it makes me!

Netball...with photo!

Hi all!  We had our 2nd week of netball this morning.  The girls were up early and SO excited to go again (no netball last week)!  It's a bit of a drama to get photos whilst they play, so I took a snap of them before the game.  So cute!  Abbie had a ball and Caitlyn's team won, 20-0.  They were both exhausted tonight, but Caitlyn managed to keep talking about how much she loved the game today whilst she was in bed!!!

Hope you are all well and that you all have a fantastic Mother's Day!!!

Signing off,

Kristie. xxx

Overflow!!!!

Well, my long weekend was fabulous and lovely but the end....not quite!  I started to run a bath for the girls yesterday afternoon, when Sharryn and family came over and well, you can guess what happened!  I forgot the bath until a wall of water started to fall whilst we were standing under the house!  ARGHH!!

We ran upstairs to lots of water flooding out of the bathroom!  Not only did we have flooding, but also the power switched off!!!  The safety switch would not let us turn it back on!  So off we went to Sharryn and John's for dinner (thanks again guys!) and home in the quiet house for bedtime!  Lights were OK, thank Goodness!

So very disorganised this morning (and without breakfast due to no milk, toast etc) I took off for work.  Then had to do a PD til 7pm tonight and didn't get home until 8pm.  So a pretty crap end of weekend and day.

We have power back upstairs and internet (thank God!!!).  So I hope you are all having a better couple of days than I've had!!!!

Scrapping Fun!

Just thought I'd share my creations from last night.  Had a ball!  As always, the photos aren't the best, but you get the idea!  Now to wait for ESK!!!!

By the way, I know my cards are upside down but it took FOREVER for them to upload, so not going to attempt it again!!!!

Have a great long weekend!!!

Off to scrap....

Hi all!  Well, another long weekend, hooray!  Once again, just preparing for term 3 and 4!  I'm off to Blossie's tomorrow for their "retro crop" from 12noon to 12 midnight with my Mum and Vicki.  I can't wait!  Have lined up a number of birthday and mother's day cards and also a few recent photos to create some pages.  I think I'll also add a canvas I have in mind for a family member...

I am organising Eclipse tickets..sorry to seem slack but I feel really exhausted despite the long weekends!  Oh well, now to press on, go to bed early and to book Eclipse tomorrow am!  Will email you all as soon as I have a session time!  Should be awesome!  I've been watching New Moon on blue ray, it looks amazing!

Missing catching friends on a regular basis!  Will hopefully have some new creations to share after tomorrow.  xxx

Netball begins....

Well, we had a very exciting morning!  The girls started netball!  Abbie is doing "Net, Set, Go" which is a beginners intro to netball.  They play lots of games introducing the skills they use to play.  Caitlyn was a little old for this, so she now plays for the Brothers U9s team!

We turned up this morning and sorted out uniforms and registration.  Of course, as I went to take a photo of them both in their uniforms, my camera batteries died!!!!!  ARGHHH!!  So, next time they play (in 2 weeks), I will be sure to have those darn batteries charged to the brim!!!

Caitlyn was with her coach and team for 1/2 hour to warm up.  She then watched from the sidelines for the first half and went on for the last half.  She was the WD and I was so proud of her!  She caught and threw a lot of balls.  Lots of stepping was done, but they were very "relaxed" on that for her as she's never played before!  She just LOVED it!!!  She did so well, considering training this week was rained out!

Abbie, on the other hand, spent the first 20 minutes crying and saying she didn't want to join in.  So after a lot of coaxing I took the court with her and eventually handed her over to the coach.  5 mins later she was bursting to participate in everything!  Thank goodness!!!

It was such a great morning. Both girls play 9-10am, so that means that I've enlisted my Mum to help me have both girls watched!  Thanks Mum!

As soon as the next game is played, I'll post photos of my girls.  Gosh, I don't think I stopped smiling all morning!  Very proud Mummy!

I love 3 day weekends!!  Bring on the next two weekends and term 3/4!!!

Not long enough....

Hmm...when teachers read this post I wonder if they know to what I am refering???  The holidays, of course!!  A week just doesn't cut it!  I still have a list a mile long and so much more I'd love to do with my babies before we go back to school.  Oh well, I am thankful for the time I've had and packed it full of catch ups with friends, tea parties, shopping, parks and lots of other adventures!

I am heading back to work with a positive outlook, but nervous about what the term will bring.  I am happy not to do report cards and look forward to continuing observations over the next 11 weeks!

I hope you have all had a great break and I hope to get to blogging at some stage through the term!  Take care all!

Hooray for holidays!

Holidays are here and I'm so happy!  Last night I went to Debbie's place for a wonderful dinner and chat.  Getting home at 1.30am has left me a little weiry, but it was worth it!  Wish we could all catch up more often!

Well, the end of this week was crazy!  I spent time buying and making gifts for friends, family and teachers (plastic champaigne glasses, filled with shredded paper and cadbury chocolates)!  Here are my little gifts for the girl's teachers and a few prep friends at work and Deb's b'day card.  Wednesday night finished at 11.30pm!

Abbie had her easter hat parade on Thursday.  I was upset to miss it, but Sharryn was able to go and watch for me.  Then they had an afternoon tea in her classroom.  I was so happy to receive an email from a parent in Abbie's class with photos attached of Abbie!  I was so excited to see them, but it still upset me that I missed another school event for her.  Oh well, I guess I have 10 days to make up for it!  Bring on 4 days a week at work....

I hope you all have a fab start to the hols and I look forward to reading your blogs over the break!
